The objective of the Society is the advancement in the field of earthquake engineering and earthquake hazards mitigation practice to enhance the nation's seismic preparedness and welfare.
ACTIVITIES
The Society shall achieve its objective by:
promoting research on fundamental theories and their applications in earthquake engineering.
promoting research on earthquake hazards mitigation technology and policy.
disseminating research findings in earthquake engineering.
promoting and facilitating the interchange of information.
promoting technology transfer.
publishing and distributing technical reports and journals.
holding conferences, seminars, and short courses.
performing the site inspection and post-earthquake reconnaissance.
performing other activities deemed necessary for achieving the objective of the Society.
