Article 19. Standing Committees

The Society shall have the following six Standing Committees:

1. 1. Committee on Earthquakes and Ground Motions.
2. 2. Committee on Seismic Design of Geotechnical Structures.
3. 3. Committee on Vibration Analysis and Control.
4. 4. Committee on Seismic Design of Civil Engineering Structures.
5. 5. Committee on Seismic Design of Building Structures.
6. 6. Committee on Seismic Performance Evaluation.

Article 28. Disaster Prevention Measure Committee

A Disaster Prevention Measures Committee shall be established to conduct research and related activities on disaster preparedness and response. The Committee shall consist of a Chair and members.

Article 29. Women’s Committee

A Women’s Committee shall be established to promote the participation and professional development of women members of the Society. The Committee shall consist of a Chair and members.

Article 26. Editorial Committee

An Editorial Committee shall be established to oversee and manage the publication of the Society’s journals. The Committee shall consist of an Editor-in-Chief and editors.

• - Research on the fundamental theories and practical applications of earthquake engineering
• - Research on and proposals for countermeasure strategies and disaster prevention technologies for earthquake hazards
• - Conducting research and disseminating its outcomes in earthquake engineering
• - Exchange of information and collection of data related to earthquake engineering
• - Technical exchange and professional guidance in earthquake engineering
• - Publication of journals, proceedings, research reports, and other related materials
• - Organization of research presentations, lectures, and training workshops
• - Organization of field trips and site visits
